On Thursday, 8 July 1993 it was made public the discovery of the graves where the bodies of the missing students at the University of La Cantuta lay. On Monday 12, the magazine “Sí” publish its first report of the most emblematic cases of investigative journalism in Peru. This report contained the map indicating where the corpses had been hidden.
In 1992 nine students and a professor were abducted, from La Cantuta University. In 2009 ex president Alberto Fujimori was convicted for ordering the murder of
these and other innocent accused to be terrorists. Today his daughter is a strong candidate for peruvian presidency and promises his followers to free her dad if
she wins. Today an elder man, a forgotten key piece of the case, the reporter whom found the hidden graves, wants to publish a book about most outstanding
journalistic investigation taken place on Peru, La Cantuta Crimes.
